Let’s face it, Hotels and other wedding venues like barn conversions and the like can cost the earth.
If you have access to land, either of your own or that belonging to a friend or family member, you can save thousands of pounds by having a marquee wedding – and that’s money that could be put to better uses like your honeymoon, or the wedding entertainment, or even a house deposit.

Your marquee is a blank canvas and you can dress it and theme your wedding however you want. We’d need to visit your planned site, so we can advise on what will fit, but in general if you have the space, size won’t be an issue. Most other venues won’t be able to house this many people or cater for them, so it gives you options and saves you upsetting anyone who may have felt left out if you excluded them from a smaller venue.
4. There are several styles to choose from
Depending on your tastes there are different types of marquee you can pick from. Traditional styles always go down well and are quintessentially English. However stylish and sultry looking Bedouin styles are also quite fashionable these days.
Marquees can also have transparent sides that allow in more light, and an outside view if you wish. Out marquees can be supplied with flooring, linings, dance floors, lights, generators, toilets, break-out rooms, furniture, and pretty much anything else you need. Just ask!
5. You’re not limited when it comes to food or time
Ok, so that’s 2 reasons really, but they kind of fit together. If you want a specific theme for the food – like the Viking idea mentioned earlier, or you want something different like vegan food, some venues may not be willing (or able) to deliver.
Most will have set wedding options, so your choice is limited. A marquee wedding allows you to self-cater or bring in the outside caterers of your choice to make your day extra special.
And, as long as you’re not in a built-up area, you and your guests won’t be expected to leave at midnight – you can party until the early hours or even later.
